All existing Ascend PC players will receive a 10K soul bonus just for playing.Īscend: Hand of Kul will officially close on November 18, 2014.

To make it up to fans, Signal Studios has said they will grand all new Ascend PC players a starting bonus of souls totaling 25K, which can be used to purchase gear, spells and buffs. Although Microsoft has discontinued support for the Xbox 360 version of Ascend, a free beta version of the game is available on Steam with "a wealth of gameplay improvements."

"We are deeply saddened by this decision and the impact it has on our community," the developer continued. The developer wrote on their blog, "This surfaced to us while investigating various issues players have been experiencing over the weekend." The move appears to have taken Signal Studios by surprise as well. But if anyone has any knowlage of the satus of the game please let me know or else I might just accept the fact that this ancient work of art is gone forever and the only thing I can do is sit back and watch old playthroughs of it.In a sudden announcement, Signal Studios confirmed that Microsoft has discontinued support for Ascent: Hand of Kul on Xbox 360, removing the free-to-play game from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. I recently found one link on Github for a server emulator () for the game and I currently am wondering if it is actually working or not if anyone has tried it, so please let me know if does or not (It probably doesnt but I just dont want to risk my computer just in case its like not safe).

I spend countless hours playing through the game and countless times rage quitting the game and even went through one Xbox 360 and two controllers during its life span. Ever since the servers were shut down I go on a monthly man hunt of the status of the game and if there is even anyhope of it ever coming back by some chance and lately its been kind of dry and I think others are losing hope on the game ever coming back. I'm just your average teenager who played this game on the Xbox 360 as a kid when it first came out way back in the day.
